With a privileged situation at an altitude of 1200 meters (4000 ft) and his microclimate, Estavar’s nickname is “Nice Cerdan”. Estavar is at 1 km (0.6 mile) from the Spanish enclave of Llivia – historical curiosity -, at 3 km (1.8 miles) from Spain, at 11 km (7 miles) from Font-Romeu and at 40 km (25 miles) from Andorra. Estavar is surrounded of the ski resorts of “Neiges Catalanes”.
Crossroads between France, Spain and Andorra, the French and Catalan mountain benefits from an exceptional period of sunshine. She is rich of a cultural and an historical heritage, from prehistoric times to modernity, from megalithic to solar furnace. Some naturals treasures, hot springs, caves, lakes, rivers, mountains… At L’Escapade campsite, nature and wide open spaces rule. In summer and in winter, explore the snow-covered slopes of the Catalan mountains on skis or snowshoes. In the summer, you can enjoy hiking, horse-riding, mountain biking, canyoning, rock climbing or fishing and you can even go for a hot air balloon ride.

Roc Line is an atypical adventure park built on the side of a cliff located in the valley of St Martin in Angoustrine Villeneuve les Escaldes, near the chapel of Saint Martin.
Several ascending courses are proposed for the whole family. They allow a fun and accessible approach to mountain activities such as climbing or via ferrata.
Furthermore, there’s a slackline of 30 m lenth and 6 m hight that you can use safely. Sensations and adrenaline guaranteed by the sequence of several giant zip lines.
Since summer 1994 we propose hot air balloon rides in Cerdanya Valley throughout the year. We take-off just as the sun rises taking advantage of the Cerdanya’s calm airs of the morning who will walk-us during one hour in peace and freedom in the air. Cavall-Nature invites you to discover “the sustainable riding” through short rides for the initiation or through several days rides for the most experimented, or by apprenticeship and improvement training course.
This activity is adapted at the level of each and framed by State-certified people, it can be practised by a wide public: child, adult, public handicapped person.
Sustainable riding: A not invasive approach of Equidae based on the mutual trust and not on the domination, by using natural and not binding method, respecting the ethological rules.

Between Andorra, Spain and France, the Pyrenees have a strong identity of their own, with their own striking history. This railway line, which is one of Europe’s oldest and one of the highest in the world, connects the Massif of Cerdanya from Enveitg-Latour de Carol with the Roussillon plain to Villefranche de Conflent. From it you’ll discover the spectacular scenery of the Pyrenean mountains and the Vauban fortifications, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
